本案為採大跨度與回收能源為主要設計原則，為提供里民多功能混合使用之活動空間，以宣導能源再利用之概念，增強環保意識，充份利用焚化爐熱資源，提供多樣活動教育及展示之空間，強化資源再生之概念，提供地方里民休憩及活動之場所，增加鄰里活動交流之機會，並以最少之人力之管理維護計劃增強回饋設施之效益。
The main principles behind the design for this incinerator are its wide range and the recycling of energy. It also serves the community as a place for a variety of events and activities while educating visitors on the concepts of recycling and environmental protection. The incinerator plant ‘s large size offers ample space for education and exhibitions, adding multi-purpose to the vocabulary of recycling and giving people a place where they can relax and enjoy themselves. Thus the incinerator provides many opportunities for interaction among residents while fulfilling its recycling and disposal functions with a minimum of manpower.
