建築物基座延續基地周邊街屋形式設計延續傳統街屋意象，逐層退縮建築物量體，採街角二向延續正立面傳統街屋四柱三間之比例形式，使建築物融入周邊建築，與貴陽街街屋歷史呼應且具整體性，將保留傳統牌樓尺度及手法並使用新的技術及建材，使建築物具質感卻蘊孕文化意涵，創建具有歷史且現代之建築意象。

The base of this building continues the basic forms of the surrounding streets and houses here, thereby carrying on the traditional images that mark much of the area. The layers are set back as they rise above the neighborhood, while the façade echoes the traditional four-post, three-space layout that typifies most of the old shops and houses along the streets here. The design allows the new building to fit comfortably into the existing buildings on all sides, helping to preserve the integrity of the styling that identifies Gueiyang Street with its rich history and integrity. Many of the local architectural features like archways are retained, and the scale and building materials are all chosen to maintain the basic cultural tone of the neighborhood even as the structure projects a modern image that acts to bring this traditional area into the present.
